How to get involved:
- Volunteer
Station Maine
needs skilled help in many areas. Boatrights, event planners,
graphic designers, teachers, writers, artists, photographers,
cartoonists, the list goes on.
- Join a rowing crew
See the "Programs" section to learn more
about our team rowing programs. We have High School, Junior and
Adult rowing programs available.
- Join us for Community Rowing
Community
rowing opportunities are available each week in the summer. No
prior experience necessary. Everyone is welcome and it's free
of charge.
- Organize a fund raiser
Our fund raising efforts have included presentations to local
service organizations, bake sales, trash-pick ups, a bottle drive,
a spagetti supper, Rent-a-Rower,
and the added strength of the Rockland Sea Ceilidh. Detail oriented
volunteers needed to lead us into the as yet uncharted waters
of raising money.
- Become a supporter
We need your
help! Station Maine relies on contributions from $10 to $1000
from local businesses and individuals to enable these motivated
young people to continue to grow in the strength of our maritime
heritage. Your gift is tax deductable. Please use our secure
online donation tool (through PayPal) or make a check payable
to "Station Maine" and mail it to the address below.

- Tell your friends
Word of mouth
still remains the most effective way to spread good news. Please
tell your friends and neighbors about the exciting programs of
Station Maine.
- Create a Legacy
As Station Maine prepares our youth for the future we ask our
supporters us to consider supporting that future by including
us in your estate planning. A gift to Station Maine insures
that the next generation of Mainers will continue to live the
legacy that made this state strong. Plans, including bequests,
gift annuity, or charitable trusts can provide tax savings for
you and your heirs. Please consider us when you talk to your
lawyer or estate planner.
If you
are interested in any of the opportunities listed above, please
contact Station Maine's Director, Muriel Curtis at 207-691-2037 or muriel@stationmaine.org
